Spring is Here!

The first full day of spring and a warm sunny one at last,

 although my little visitor came from the land of snow!

Week-end Project

Two days of sorting old letters, pictures and kids mementos and the job is still not finished.

It doesn't take a lot of snow to snarl traffic in this city, you might notice a light dusting on the tree. 

I took this picture while inching along to work this morning. 

I'm hoping for a snow day tomorrow!

Week-end Project

After sorting and organizing some boxes of stuff in my studio,

 I found some old linocuts that I had made a couple of years ago.

Thought I would try and set aside some time this week-end and create some more!!

My week-end was spent enjoying the textures,

Monotype "Valley Sunset"

This is a monotype, I did last June, I didn't blog it because I wasn't crazy about the picture and kept thinking I would take a better one, well it never happened and the painting is now ( along with a few other paintings) at the "Chiropractor for Life" offices in Langford. I did this monotype after driving through the Fraser Valley during twilight, the light was very nostalgic for me, having grown up in the valley.
