
I'm going to miss this view from my studio when we move, but hopefully once we're settled, I will be inspired with a new view, which will result in more consistent posting. That's the plan anyway!

This is the city I see when I walk along the harbour into town. It’s a painting that I did a few months ago but never blogged. I find it so easy to leave paintings at a certain point, thinking that I still might want to change things. But for now Ithink I'll leave it.
After spending time working on monotypes, it felt good to paint something larger with simple shapes and colour. 








This was a fun little exercise for Karin Jurick's blog Different Strokes. It's interesting to scroll through and see every one's interpretation.
I didn’t set out to paint these trees which are outside my window but there was something appealing about their colours set against the blues and greys of the street.
